History
The Willmotts name has been associated with road transportation since the early 1900's. In 1919 George Willmott formed Willmotts Transport with an ex-military vehicle after the First World War, using his Army Gratuity.

Operating out of Wells, Somerset for over 60 years, Willmotts moved to its present site at Waterlip in 1981.

Services
From our humble beginnings, we now operate a modern fleet of vans, rigids and articulated vehicles all fitted with navigation equipment enabling us to track our customers consignments. We operate a daily service from Somerset to Yorkshire and cover the whole of the UK on a weekly basis with our large articulated vehicles venturing into mainland Europe on a regular basis.

Due to our customer base being extremely diverse we have experience in handling and delivering consignments of all shapes, sizes and weights; from awkward large scale food machinery down to packets of fishing hooks – we collect, transport and distribute anything and everything. For those customers who require a complete “one stop service”, as well as distribution, we also provide storage and packing.

With regular bookings for major retailers such as Argos, we are able to consolidate small consignments from many customers into single bookings and in this way we are able to offer a competitive service as well as getting priority booking slots for our customers.
